Dr. McFatter Teaches Students at Georgia Regents University Dental School
Dr. William McFatter was last seen working with upcoming dentists at Georgia Regents University Dental School. Students at the university are studying to become dentists and commonly perform procedures on real people to perfect their skills. Dr. McFatter is one of many experts that helps guide these students with difficult and intensive procedures.
The goal of the Georgia Regents University Dental School is to, "…educate dentists in order to improve overall health and to reduce the burden of illness in society through the discovery and application knowledge that embraces craniofacial health and disease prevention." During his stay, Dr. McFatter was specifically teaching students about dental implants and sinus graphs. A dental implant is a metal root that is placed in your jaw to hold things like a replacement tooth, while sinus graphing is grafting material in place to anchor a dental implant when a person doesn't have enough bone in their upper jaw to allow for a dental implant. Dr. McFatter frequently uses his expertise in these cutting edge techniques to teach newer generations that will follow in his footsteps.
Dr. McFatter's home base is his beautiful new Beachton Denture Clinic, located between Tallahassee and Thomasville, and where he normally provides implant and a variety of dentures to his patients. He has been in the business for over 23 years and continues to provide excellent care as his many testimonials state. One procedure in particular, Facelift Dentures is a newer procedure that actually helps remove wrinkles from your face and provides you with a bright new smile. Other less expensive procedures like Snap-on Smiles creates an actual smile that fits over your teeth. After using her Snap-On Smile, a patient stated, "It literally changed my life."
Dr. McFatter has a multitude of options that are specifically designed to fit every person's budget from lower cost options to high end, cutting-edge dental work. We'd love to improve your smile, with the most up-to-date techniques and equipment, on-site dental lab, and dedicated staff. Give us a call today!

Facelift Dentures Breakthrough Technology at Beachton Denture Clinic
THOMASVILLE, Georgia (March 13, 2012) - Dr. McFatter of the Beachton Denture Clinic has achieved expertise in another revolutionary denture technique to his patients with an amazing breakthrough providing a “fountain of youth” for denture wearers.
There have traditionally been two types of dentures: economy and traditional. Now, with the introduction of Facelift Dentures, patients benefit from a new level of confidence, comfort and customization. They are the only type of denture that works to combat jaw bone resorption, the cause of the aged or “sunken in” facial appearance that occurs when we lose our teeth. This amazing breakthrough provides underlying facial support which plumps your lips, lessens wrinkles, helps fill your face out, and provides for a better fit and appearance. Patients absolutely love them, calling them the “fountain of youth” for denture wearers.
Facelift Dentures are designed to stimulate the jawbone by creating a better fitting denture that rests partially on the muscles. They are placed to build the bite at a position that the muscles will best function; the same position that provides the greatest facial support and works to achieve stability and greater facial aesthetics.
“I’ve adopted the option of Facelift Dentures, because I want to give my patients the chance to have a bigger, brighter smile that leaves them more feeling more confident and restores a more youthful appearance. It’s what we do!” –Dr. McFatter

Giving Back So Everyone Can Smile
From Natural Awakenings Tallahassee
Dr. William McFatter, an area dentist whose expertise is in dentures and implants, and who has been serving the South Georgia and North Florida area for over 22 years, has recently returned from his second dental mission to the Dominican Republic, giving back to the people of Santiago.
Dr. McFatter traveled with over 30 dental health professionals on the mission trip as part of a group organized by Dr. Arun Ciarg of Implant Seminars. Dr Garg's group coordinated the trip and personally packed as many dental implant supplies as they could bring to the medical facilities in Santiago, the second largest city in the Dominican Republic. To date the dentists have provided more than $1.5 million in-gratis health care.
Over three days, Dr, McFatter says he saw hundreds of patients who waited for hours for the free care. Alter his second trip to Santiago, Dr. McFatter made it clear it would not be his last and has plans to return later next year. "There is more work to do and I think they are counting on us to follow through," McFatter said.
"We're hoping to get some restorative companies involved so we can help move these cases along. It is not enough to just go place implants on people if you can't finish what you started, and this is what we hope to get organized for our next trip. One thing I know about Dr. Garg's group is they will find a way to get this done," McFatter said.
Dr. McFatter is a graduate of the Emory University Dental School and founder of the Beachton Denture Clinic in Thomasville. Georgia. Over the past 22 years, he has placed an emphasis on implants and dentures. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Innovative Dentist Made Office Green
By Deanna A. Mims
Special to the Chronicle
Over the past few years, Dr. William McFatter, founder of the Beachton Denture Clinic, has been busy impacting those in and out of his community. An innovator in building practices and dental technology, McFatter recently opened his new office and returned from his second dental mission.
In the place of the old office, stands a candidate for the Platinum LEED certification of green buildings. The building is a world-class study in energy efficiency, environmentally sensitive building products and methods. McFatter has taken all the steps necessary to have as little impact on the environment as possible.
He had the building equipped with solar panels, LED lighting, Argon double-paned windows, triple wall insulation and a unique and cutting-edge air conditioning system that ensures fresh air is constantly flowing through the building. The landscaping requires no irrigation, and in another step toward earning Platinum LEED Certification, net metering was employed, enabling the facility to sell power back to the electrical grid from the 8,000-square-foot office.
Giving back to others and remaining an innovator in various disciplines has led McFatter to participate in dental missions to Santiago, Dominican Republic. Recently, McFatter traveled with more than 30 dental health professionals on the mission trip as part of a group organized by Dr. Arun Garg of Implant Seminars. Garg's group coordinated the trip and personally packed as many dental implant supplies as they could bring to the medical facilities in Santiago, the second largest city in the Dominican Republic.

Expanded Beachton Dental Center Opens

Lab technician Paula Ferrell assembles a new denture at the Beachton Dental Center. The center, owned by Dr. William McFatter, serves patients from Florida and Georgia.

As a dentist, Dr. William McFatter distinctly remembers how grateful patients were when their smiles returned with new dentures.
He had completed his internship in North Carolina and had a decision to make about his next move. "After my residency, I couldn't make up my mind and so I went to work at a denture clinic," he said. He became a part-owner of a franchise business that had intentions of locations throughout North Carolina and Virginia.
"I would get hugs from patients, they were so happy," said McFatter, who was born in Chipley and is a graduate of the Emory University Dental School. Thus began a career that eventually brought McFatter to this area, specifically Beachton, Ga., right across the state line. A friend who is a pediatric dentist in Tallahassee alerted him that the denture clinic in the trailer on U.S. 319 had suspended operations because the owner had died.
"I ended up buying the practice and selling my interest up there," he said of the North Carolina business. The Beachton Denture Clinic, which specializes in dentures, partials, implants and extractions, has been under McFatter's ownership since 1987 and serves patients from throughout the area, he said. All the while, he has been planning his dream facility in Beachton; after much work, that office and lab recently opened.
Now known as the Beachton Dental Center, the building of nearly 8,000 square feet on 1.5 acres has the latest in dental technology, including a fully functioning lab on the premises and sophisticated CT scan equipment that produces 3-dimensional digital views of a patient's mouth. The images aid in the precise planning of implants and related dental procedures, McFatter said.
While the dental office is impressive, the project went beyond that to qualify for LEED consideration, the design criteria of the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program. McFatter insisted that his construction team, which included Morton Buildings Inc., Crowder Excavating and Land Clearing, general contractor Price Vincent Contractors Inc. and environmental consultant EarthSTEPS, think outside the box to develop a sustainable building that would achieve LEED's platinum designation.
"The instructions to us and to the general contractor were to achieve as many points as possible," said Kim Ross, project manager for EarthSTEPS. "So far we are able to submit all those that we need to."
Reflected in that point total are triple insulation in the walls, argon gas-filled dual pane windows, special efforts to enhance indoor air quality, and installation of a 20-kilowatt solar power system on the roof. "It has cut my electric bill about $1,000 a month," McFatter said of the solar array, which enabled the building to have a net meter, the first in Grady County, and supply power back to the local utility. "I am not looking at how long it takes to pay me back. I just wanted to have it."
He hopes the dental center will be an inspiration to other building owners to consider energy-saving designs, he added.

Thank you for this article; I've badly needed dental work for years but have put it off because the local dentists want a king's ransom for anything. Until today's article I had no idea such a place existed, especially this close to Tallahassee. I googled this dental center and learned from their (beachtondentalcenter.com) that their prices are quite reasonable compared to local dentists.
